United Beats Class Motion Over Defunct Lifetime Senior Low cost Membership Program

United Airways prevailed in a federal class motion case over its determination to eradicate the Silver Wings senior citizen low cost program through which that they had bought lifetime memberships.

This system was based in 1986 for patrons 55 years and older. In 1996 this system is claimed to have had 560,000 members. They continued so as to add lifetime members by means of 2005, costing at the moment ~ $250. This system was terminated (‘closed to new members and renewals’) in 2007.
